Tonic

Whenever I have a crummy day, and yesterday was crummy, it's good to run as soon as possible. This morning at 5, I ran five miles on a clear, cold morning, all bundled up. The 30 degree temperature felt good as I let go of the "bad energy" that built up yesterday.

Watching the sun come up as I finished was especially refreshing. There is peace in running, and I'm glad I continue to find it. Carpe diem.

I know just what you mean.
Glad you had a good run.
I can't wait to get back to running. Nothing is quite the same.

I miss that exact feeling about running!! Several years ago, when I worked for a dot-com that imploded [as they all did :) ], I talked several former coach-potato colleagues into running.

My knees won't go there anymore, but I'm still walking as much as I can. It's not the same high, but still pretty good. :)

Ronni, I hope you get back on the road soon. LC, glad you have walking to "vent" ... I enjoy a hiker's high, which is similar to a runner's high, but it's not quite the same, as you say.

Well put - there's nothing like running. That settles it: I miss running! The countdown's on... 20 weeks... Just in time for spring!
Can't wait :)
